If you are reading this, then Meta Empowerment is alive! Which is kind of a big deal because behind this sexy new website is a scared little nerd in glasses inviting her friends to M.E.’s birthday (aka, launch event). This moment is absolutely bursting with those ‘oh so familiar’ conflicting feelings of excitement, nerves, confidence, and self-doubt. (Yeah, my head’s a right trip!) So, if we make it to the launch on March 15 2024 and this blog becomes public, then it means excited confidence conquered nervous self-doubt – woohoo!
Now that you’re here, welcome to the Meta Empowerment blog. In this forum I’ll share my ongoing learning journey with you and delve into the world of thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and social structures. Inspiration will be drawn from fascinating topics covered in professional development activities, prevalent client-led themes, and the general wonders of day-to-day life. Just a quick word of warning: some of the topics we’ll explore may not be for the faint-hearted. There’s going to be some controversy *insert dramatic “whooooo.”* Some topics may even be triggering. In my practice, I’m not big on telling people what to do. However, I am telling you right now that if any of the content in this blog is triggering then please stop reading. Contact your soul mate or BFF, cuddle your pet, get outdoors, do whatever *weird thing gives you comfort and joy. Self care and compassion are non-negotiables in this space.
Another non-negotiable is the old, “if you haven’t got anything nice to say, then don’t say it at all.” Any kind and non-judgemental insights, thoughts, or experiences you’d like to share are so welcome here. Stimulating some parent-led meta empowerment by building supportive like-minded communities is what M.E. is all about. Any below the belt trash talk will be removed. Sorry, not sorry! Maintaining a safe space takes priority over keyboard warriors’ egos
That’s me over out for now folks. If there’s any topics that tickle your fancy, please let me know and I’ll do some research so we can get a discussion happening. (Honestly, do it – I’d actually froth on that.)
Be awesome!
Felicity 🤓
*Weird. Unusual. Atypical. Abnormal. Strange, Peculiar. What the heck are they? This will be unpacked in another blog. Stay tuned…
